Groot Constantia(est 1685)
Groot Constantia is the oldest wine estate in South Africa, producing wine continuously for 330 years, it's also one of the longest surviving trademarks in the world today. During the Eighteenth century the sweet wines of Constantia received international acclaim for their superior quality and became known throughout the world as "Constantia Wyn (wine)". Wine drank by King Louis XIV of France and Napoleon. Charles Dickens celebrated it in "Edwin Drood", Jane Austen's character recommended it as a cure for a broken heart to heroine Marianne Dashwood in "Sense and Sensibility".

A rich cool climate Pinotage with deep, dark red colour. A multi-layered complexity of bright red fruit, black berries, black cherries, plums and ripe strawberries with hints of dark chocolate and cinnamon spice on the nose. Fresh fruits like juicy plums, cherries and black currant follow through on the palate to finish with a soft spicy aftertaste. This Pinotage is very drinkable in its youth, but will age gracefully if stored correctly.
